As the re­moval of card cat­a­logs be­comes more com­mon to li­braries whose pa­trons are al­ready be­gin­ning to in­clude many whose fa­mil­iar­ity with the ob­jects is only through his­tor­i­cal lit­er­a­ture it­self, li­braries should take a cue from Uni­ver­sity of South Car­olina’s Thomas Cooper Li­brary and let their card cat­a­logs exe­unt with class.
